Advice We Need Right Now/from Atisha’s Heart with Gen Gomlam

Sunday, 23 August 9:00am - 12:30pm

iCal | Google Calendar
4953 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90027

Is it possible to remain hopeful when our world is overrun with so much pain, injustice, sickness, poverty? Yes. It is not only possible, it is essential. According to Buddha, we cannot uproot the causes of the world’s dilemmas until we have uprooted our own negative minds and ripened our potential for authentic and stable happiness. If we are to help others activate their potential we first need to activate our own.

In this Sunday course, we will explore “Advice from Atisha’s Heart,” which is a brief collection of wise and beautiful jewels of wisdom that comprise the very heart of what it means to be a Kadampa Buddhist. This essential advice will helps us to become the person the world needs us to be right now.
