Join a group of like-minded individuals for our annual New Year‘s Eve celebration! Ring in the New Year in a meaningful and positive way, with compassion and beneficial intentions!

We will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages from 9:30 to 10:45pm. Then Gen Kelsang Rigpa will give an introduction to the practice of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, which is a beautiful arrangement of prayers and mantras; we will then engage in the practice itself. As midnight approaches, Gen Rigpa will guide us in a meditation to take us into 2020.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for making our New Year’s resolutions extra powerful. With a peaceful and compassionate mind, we can dedicate for the welfare of the whole world.

Gen Rigpa

GEN KELSANG RIGPA is an American Buddhist monk, the Western US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC-Hollywood. He is a close disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, having received lineage blessings and oral transmissions directly from him. Gen Rigpa’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice.
