The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness with Gen Gomlam
Saturday, 22 August 9:00am - 5:15pm
iCal | Google Calendar 4953 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90027Special Saturday Course with Guest Teacher and Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Gomlam from KMC Madison
Here in our troubled world, what could be more helpful right now than getting better at love? American Buddhist nun Gen Gomlam will help us grow our own minds of love by training in meditations on love. These meditations transform our life! They improve our relationships! And they contribute to peace and healing in our world.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and strengthen our love and compassion for others, as well as to learn to transform everything we encounter in everyday life into opportunities for spiritual growth. Imagine not being thrown by life’s problems but instead seeing them as occasions for practicing love and compassion!
There are four sessions in all. Each one includes a guided meditation and teachings based on the book The New Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Keslang Gyatso. This extraordinary book explains, step by step, how to deepen the happiness and peace within us. In each session, we’ll meditate on one of these essential steps.
