Drawing Closer to the Dharma Protector: Teachings & Meditations on Melodious Drum Long Protector Puja

Friday, 25 September until Sunday, 27 September 7:00pm - 8:00pm

iCal | Google Calendar
4953 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90027

“You said ‘I will protect as a wealth of merit for all beings
The sublime stainless essence of the Sugatas’ teachings’
O Hero Manjushri and Yamantaka in a fearsome disguise,
With the strength of a million Dharma Protectors; to you we offer praise”
-Praise to the five lineages of Dorje, Shugden, Kangso

ABOUT THE EVENT

This special weekend event is a rare and precious opportunity to receive commentary to the long protector practice- “Melodious Drum Victorious in all Directions- the extensive fulfilling and restoring ritual of the Dharma Protector, the great king Dorje Shugden, in conjunction with Mahakala, Kalarupa, Kalindewi and Other Dharma Protectors” (“Kangso” in Tibetan).

Dorje Shugden is the supreme heart jewel of Dharma protectors and is principally responsible for maintaining the life of the Ganden Oral Lineage instructions. By deepening our way of relying upon him, in dependence upon the instructions contained within Melodious Drum, we can swiftly gather the necessary conditions to gain all the realizations of this profound lineage within this life.

Gen Rigpa will explain the essence of the practice, emphasizing the sadhana of Dorje Shugden; clarify some of the hidden meanings and help us to integrate these insights into our daily reliance upon our protector.
