Meditating on the OM AH HUM mantra gives us direct and immediate access to a space of power and peace that exists within us. This meditation helps us to see beyond the ordinary and connect with our pure, compassionate nature. 

Gen Rigpa will guide 2 meditations that combine our breathing with the mental recitation of the mantra OM AH HUM, which is called the “Mantra of all Buddhas.”

Through this meditation you will learn how to:
– Let go of stress & anxiety
– Open your heart of compassion
– Connect with the inspiring mind of Buddha

About the Class
Class begins with a guided meditation, followed by a talk on a topic (listed above), and ends with another guided meditation. Everyone is welcome. No previous meditation experience is necessary.

Although it’s most beneficial to engage in the whole series, you are welcome to drop in for an individual class whenever you wish.

Weekly guided meditations and Buddhist teachings are suitable for both beginners and more advanced meditation practitioners. Classes are held every week unless otherwise stated.

Gen Rigpa

GEN KELSANG RIGPA is an American Buddhist monk, the Western US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC-Hollywood. He is a close disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, having received lineage blessings and oral transmissions directly from him. Gen Rigpa’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help students discover for themselves how to integrate these timeless teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.
