Current Series: Love Without Pain: A Buddhist Perspective

With Gen Kelsang Rigpa

Who doesn’t want to be in love? An all-consuming, heart-warming, mind-expanding kind of love?

In Buddhism, love is talked about a lot. Not because we “should” love each other, but because great things happen when we do.

In How to Transform Your Life, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso writes, “Learning to cherish others is the best solution to our daily problems, and it is the source of all our future happiness and good fortune.”

What else in life can bring these kinds of benefits?
Buddha’s idea is that we should make the effort to train in love so we can be in this state all the time. Then we’ll know a love that’s limitless and unceasing.
