Three-Week Kadam Lamrim Retreat – Guided and Self-Guided

Saturday, 9 January until Thursday, 28 January

iCal | Google Calendar
4953 Franklin Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90027

Deepen Your Experience of Meditation

January is “Retreat Month,” a unique opportunity to emphasize on-the-cushion meditation and gain deeper experience of the entire spiritual path. Immerse yourself in “online retreat,” and enjoy the transformative power of authentic meditation from the comfort of your home.

Kadam Lamrim Retreat – A New Way of Thinking

January 2021

Meditation is a tool not only for de-stressing, overcoming anxiety, and improving our health. It’s also the means by which we can radically change who we are–our entire experience of our world!–by transforming our mind. In particular, by practicing Buddha’s teachings, we can gradually change our views, intentions, and actions so that we experience life in a fresh, positive and creative way.

In this retreat you will:

  • Take an experiential tour of the entire path to enlightenment
  • Gain confidence in your potential
  • Be empowered to meditate more skillfully and effectively
  • Enjoy practicing Buddha’s teachings to launch the new year

This 18-session retreat spans three weekends. During these sessions, we’ll explore the practical, systematic presentation of Lamrim (the stages of the path to enlightenment) meditation as presented in Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s books The New Meditation Handbook and The Mirror of Dharma. We will also use the sadhana, “Prayers for Meditation.”

You can attend all three weekends, just one weekend, or even just one day. Each weekend of guided retreat is followed by self-guided retreat. Everyone is welcome!
